STRUCTURE FIRE - CHERRY HILL APTS. BLD 43 (GROUP 2)

in

On October 31, 2012 at 16:00 hours, Arlington was dispatched to a reported fire in building 43 in the Cherry Hill Apartments with 32-11, 14, 16 and 32-46. While 911 was taking the call there were audible alarms heard in the background and then the caller disconnected. Arlington called on the scene with heavy smoke coming from the building. Firefighters made entry to the building and found a working fire on the #2 floor. Because of the minimum staffing and the high life hazard in the multiple dwelling, and other calls going on in the Arlington Fire District, a second alarm was called which brought 2 more engines from Arlington to the scene, and a mutual aid Truck from the City of Poughkeepsie. Fairview was dispatched to the scene with a F.A.S.TEAM and Lagrange also responded to the scene with a Paramedic. Mutual aid stand by coverage was provided by Pleasant Valley and New Hamburg.
