PRIORITY 1 AUTO ACCIDENT WITH EXTRICATION - SALT POINT TURNPIKE 4/12/12 (GROUP 3)

Arlington was dispatched to a familiar location on 4/12/12 at 00:30 hours for a priority 1 auto accident with entrapment. It was just past where the had been 2 weeks before, around the same time making rescues of two females from a structure fire. Units arrived on Salt Point Turn Pike and Edgewood Rd to find one vehicle off the road into a tree, with a male patient trapped under the dash of the vehicle. Firefighters performed a door and full roof removal, and a dash lift to free the patient. Extrication took 20 minutes. The occupant of the vehicle was transported to St Francis Hospital ALS. Arlington 32-52, 32-14, 32-71 and 89 and 32-9 operated at the scene. The accident is under investigation by the Town of Poughkeepsie Police. (Group 3)
