Group 4 - Swift Water Rescue - Mutual Aid to New Hackensack

On 5/29/2011 32-52 and the Arlington Swift Water Rescue Team was called mutual aid to the New Hackensack Fire District for a water rescue in the Wappingers Creek. A total of 5 victims were rescued. Firefighters used the inflatable rescue boat and a system of ropes to get the victims to shore safely.

A few days later on 5/31/2011 Arlington's Swift Water Team was dispatched for a possible drowning in the Wappingers Creek off of Willowbrook Heights in the Arlington Fire District. Arlington, New Hackensack, Lagrange, Hughsonville, Town of Poughkeepsie Police and the DCSO operated at the scene. Arlington has responded to 6 Swift Water incidents this year.
