Celebrating 20 Years of PARAMEDIC SERVICE to the Town Of Poughkeepsie
On Wednesday June 30, 2010 the Arlington Professional Firefighters and the Arlington Fire District celebrated 20 years of Advanced Life Support Service to the people of the Town of Poughkeepsie. Arlington started with just 4 Paramedics back in 1990. Now in 2010 Arlington has 25 Paramedics. Over the past 20 years the Paramedics have saved countless lives and provided excellent Pre Hospital Care.
In attendance were several honored guests, from the County Executive to the Dutchess County Fire Coordinator. Arlington Paramedics and Firefighters were able to see the fruits of there labor by having 3 survivors from serious calls be in attendance. From calls as serious as a Cardiac Arrest, to a Burn Victim of 80% burns and a 4 year old Drowning Victim.
