In the early morning hours of April 28, 2010 Arlington (Group 1) was called to the City of Poughkeepsie for another fire. This time it was a fire at 10 Rinaldi blvd, Rip Van winkle Apts. Fairview's F.A.S.Team was put to work and due to the reports of people trapped and hanging off the fire escapes. Arlington's Engine and Truck were called to be the #2 F.A.S.Team. Arlington Firefighters assisted Poughkeepsie and Fairview with manpower and ventilation fans to clear smoke from the building. AFD units were back in service in a little over an hour. The fire was on the # 5 Floor of the 17 story high-rise and sustained heavy smoke damage and charring in the hallways. Other Arlington Units provided stand by coverage for the City of Poughkeepsie. AFD also responded to a 2 car MVA on route 9 in the Croft responce area during the fire.
