2nd Alarm with reports of children trapped 1/8/15

On Thursday, January 8th, 2015 Arlington was dispatched to a working structure fire with reports of children trapped. On arrival crews were met with heavy fire from the front of the 2 1/2 story wood frame. The shift Captain immediately ordered crews to put 2 lines in operation. Other crews at that time were performing searches throughout the structure. Crews later found out that all occupants had self evacuated. Arlington operated at the scene in frigid temperatures for several hours. City of Poughkeepsie also operated at the scene with the FASTEAM. Pleasant Valley provided standby coverage at Arlington HQ.
